TMoS Is Revolutionizing The Logistics Sector

Technology can make the world a better place. I am doing my bit to bring sustainability and innovation in the Indian logistics sector, says Prakhar Kumar Singh, C.E.O. of TMoS.
I deeply love science and creativity, and as I went on, I.I.T. happened to me. So, I.I.T. was an extraordinary experience that helped me to develop an innovative mindset. Curiosity and proactivity led my years in I.I.T. to explore various things throughout college. Along with a creative perspective, I had significant exposure in managing cross-functional teams.
It was back then at I.I.T. that my roommate Anish seeded the idea of entrepreneurship in me. He is the C.T.O. of TMoS now. During my final year (penultimate) at IIT-Bombay, I helped the agro start-up trying to create a channel between farm products and end retailers. I held accountability for logistics and cost management to simplify the whole ecosystem. While discussing Indian logistics with him, I realized how big the problem was. We saw huge potential in the logistics sector.
The growth of many sectors heavily depends on logistics. With the digitization and rapid growth of e-commerce, it is crucial to bring sophistication to logistics. However, at the same time, few efforts are made to simplify warehousing, packaging, storing, delivering things, etc.
The digital infrastructure, to its fullest, is still a distant dream for Indian logistics. To simplify the process of Indian logistics, we came up with the idea of AI-based optimization software. Dedicated platform-based delivery service to unlock the hidden potential of Indian logistics. That’s when our brainchild TMoS was born.
TMoS stands for Transport Monitoring System. The inspiration dawned on us by Marvel Comics while playing an acronyms game. They mentioned S.H.I.E.L.D., which has a long full form. Its simplicity inspired us to create our brand identity as TMoS. However, our objective is to use tech to bring sustainability to the Indian logistics sector.
We provide delivery services, warehouse packaging, and many more services to companies. Strive to make logistics accessible to all and make it as simple as it can be. We help e-commerce companies in their expansion to Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. TMoS resonates with the philosophy of ‘Local pe Vocal’ (Vocal for Local). That’s why we offer sophisticated platform-based delivery services. So, these services are specially for local businesses and start-ups to help them skyrocket their business growth.
Few start-ups bring in tech delivery limited to a few metro cities’. That’s not where we limit ourselves. We believe in catering to the needs of big metro cities and Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities where there is enormous potential.
As a company, our principles revolve around sustainability, customer satisfaction, and innovation. Out of the box, thinking and the ability to translate ideas into reality makes us who we are.
Being a person with many hats and a founding member of TMoS gives me immense joy to channelize my energy into doing what I love. My journey at TMoS inspires me to do better every day. It taught me about hard work, patience, consistency, and above all, empathy.
Empathy helped establish good relations with clients and vendors and helped our platform design to keep a customer in mind. Empathy is at the centre of our research, tech, and design thought process.
Being the founder of TMoS, you are accountable for almost everything that goes around you. During the initial phase, just like every start-up, we experience numerous challenges. Effective utilization of time and resources sometimes puts an extra workload on Anish and me. Having a good team and friend-cum-CTO gives me extra energy and support to achieve our goals for TMoS.
We started our operations just before the Covid-19 nationwide lockdown. The pandemic forced us to take a break. At that time, we planned to raise investments and scale-up. It was a tough decision to stop our operations. It was a temporary break that gave us some productive time to focus on the tech part.
So far, the journey has been insightful. One of our company’s awe-inspiring moments was when we received an invitation to T.I.E. in January last year. So, we were invited as a bootstrapped start-up with our ticket fee waived off. All other start-ups present there had seed funding or were in a series of funding. It was a big thing for us, and we were highly delighted. We soon started attending industry events and networking with new people. Some of them have become our esteemed clients.
Our journey has just unfolded, but we have already had a rich experience. Business is a way to grow, both in personal and professional life. Through our venture, we are all set to create a meaningful and sustainable change in this world. After all, the sky is the limit.
So, this was Prakhar, founder of TMoS. We applaud Prakhar for reaching out to Tier-3 cities and not limiting himself to the metros. In a short time, they have achieved a lot and reshaped India’s logistics sector. Prakhar’s Dhandho Ni Soch has aptly labelled out what it takes to be The BOSS.
